Safari Comes to Glen Rock

Mar 23, 2020 09:27AM ● By Julie Maxwell Allen
Glen Rock Resident and mom, known as Jennifer Jean on Facebook,  found a creative way that the town can come together for the kids and still practice social distancing.  She created the event: GLen Rock Townwide Safari
This event will take place on Thursday, March 26th.

Jennifer's motivation is to "make something fun for our kiddos to do while we take our walks!"

To participate  You need to put some stuffed animals/toy animals in your windows, on your porches, on your stoops, etc.

Then, with all of those leftover toilet paper rolls, kiddos can make binoculars, and families can go on a safari, spotting as many animals as they can!

Take it a step farther and get even more creative....

When you get home/while walking you can...

- play animal bingo
- make a list of the animals
- pick five animals you found and research five facts about the animals

So far animals are going to be spotted on:
Fairmount
Harding
Hamilton
Boulevard
Grizwald
Maple
Rock Road
Henry

If you are going to put animals out - comment under this article and we will update the list!
