After being on social distancing for 2 weeks, Glen Rockers have come together to help support the front line medical staff.

These include the hospitals, EMS workers, Nurses, Doctors and more.  One of the several movements is called GRINS - Glen Rock is Never Surrendering. This group was started by Terry McBride based on a movement that a friend,  classmate and former Rocker, Tina O'Shea,  started in Wyckoff.  This movement was actually started in California.

When Tina saw it she felt it was something important to do. Terry followed suit after he saw her on CBS New York. "My goal was to get into a rotation and deliver to Valley holy name and Hackensack, and do that for the next 2 weeks as the hospitals get to the peak and need relief in any way it can be provided But since Hackensack is so big the need is greater Ian that is our focus for now even though we might not be able to sustain for as long as we would like. "

The Glen Rock Restaurants that are contributing are:
John Boys Pizza
Francesca Brick Oven Pizza
Wilkes delicatessen
Turvinos Pizzaria
Iachettis Kitchen

Donations can be done via Venmo (@ElizabethCarr18) or you can buy a gift card from a local restaurant and give it directly to a family in town who has a healthcare worker engaged in this fight.  If you don’t use Venmo and still want to give, you can drop off cash/check drop at 231 Hamilton Ave(leave in the mailbox).

Talking to the founders of this movement, Liz Carr stated, "Once again when this town is faced with a challenge we all come together and fight it as one! The love and support has been overwhelming". Bridget Noras stated, " I just wanted to help out, even in a small way, we can have a big impact.
