8:29 PM – A Glen Rock woman reported that she had arranged to adopt a Yorkie terrier via Instagram. She paid a $60 fee via Cash App. and then attempted to arrange a pick-up date and location. The seller has since blocked her, and she has been unable to get a refund.
3:26 PM – Patrols assisted the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department in searching for a missing child who had wandered off from his parents in the Ridgewood section of the County Park. Sgt. Robert Wotjecki located the child along the bicycle path in the Glen Rock Section and transported him to Ridgewood to be reunited with his parents.
3:10 PM – The manager at Bottle King Liquors on Prospect Street reported shoplifting which had occurred approximately 90 minutes in the past. The female actor took two bottles of Patron Silver valued at $171.98 while a male accomplice distracted a store employee. The detective bureau is reviewing video images in an attempt to identify the actors; however, this is complicated by the fact that both were wearing masks.
2:17 AM – While on patrol along Rock Road, Sgt. Greg Carter observed a man wandering in the area of the Rock who appeared to be in distress. Upon field contact, he learned that the subject, a 38-year-old Baton Rouge LA man, was in need of medical care. The man was transported to New Bridge Medical Center and his family was contacted with the assistance of the Baton Rouge Police Department.
1:23 PM – P.O. T.J. Graziani responded to assist an injured woman on the 100 block of Main Street. The subject, a 68-year-old Glen Rock woman, had accidentally ridden her bicycle into the back of a legally parked vehicle and subsequently fell. She was assisted on the scene and transported by ambulance to the ER at Valley Hospital.
12:27 PM – A Boulevard resident reported that her unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in her driveway overnight. Taken from the vehicle was approximately $400 worth of property including prescription sunglasses, 2 pairs of non-prescription sunglasses, wipes, and a 12 pack of coke.
8:56 PM – As a result of an ongoing investigation into narcotics being offered for sale via social media and delivered to Glen Rock locations, P.O. Samuel Evans arrested two Clifton men and one man from Passaic in a parking lot adjacent to the Rock Road Central Business District. Officers recovered just over an ounce of Marijuana and Hash oil cartridges for vaping which were being offered for sale.
Two Clifton men, both age 24 and a 22-year-old Passaic man were arrested for Possession with intent to distribute more than one ounce of Marijuana; Possession of Narcotics with intent to distribute; and Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia. The Passaic man was also charged with possession of Marijuana under 50 grams when officers discovered him concealing an additional amount of marijuana on his person.
All three were processed at Glen Rock Police Headquarters and released on their own recognizance pending an appearance before Central Judicial Processing at the Superior Court in Hackensack on June 12th, 2020.
9:48 AM – A Glen Rock couple reported that unknown persons had fraudulently filed unemployment claims with the New Jersey Department of Labor using their identities. The claims have been placed on hold and an investigation is in progress. Both victims are currently checking their credit reports for any other fraudulent activity.
2:46 PM – A Bradford Street resident reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered while parked in his driveway overnight. Taken from the vehicle was his wallet containing $100 in cash and numerous credit cards. Prior to this report, he began to receive notifications of numerous fraudulent purchases made with his credit cards. The detective bureau is currently reviewing the matter.
