July 4th parade approved by councilJun 10, 2020 08:25PM ● By Julie Maxwell Allen
During the council work session the mayor and council approved the July 4th parade. The council and mayor spoke to IDA President, Jim Leonard about the possibility of having the 81st 4th of July Parade.
Per Jim, they are looking at a scaled down version parade that would include route changes as well as participants.
The parade would go from Borough Hall to Faber Field. Participants would include just groups and people from Glen Rock. It was recommended by council that they have social distancing ambassadors marching along the parade route.
The final hurdle is approval by Chief Ackermann with the means of the availability of the police, and the closing of Rock Road.
