COVID mobile testing unit to come to Glen Rock on FridayOct 20, 2020 09:20PM ● By Julie Maxwell Allen
In response to six borough residents, three of them students at Glen Rock High School, testing positive over the weekend for the coronavirus, Glen Rock will be offering COVID-19 testing for borough residents this Friday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at Borough Hall.
The Glen Rock Office of Emergency Management requested the Bergen County mobile testing unit be brought to Glen Rock after the three students -- two of them who took the PSAT at the high school on Saturday -- tested positive for the virus, causing the school district to move to virtual learning for the high school on Monday and Tuesday.
New Bridge Medical Center, in partnership with Glen Rock, is administering the tests, and both the borough and the school district are encouraging students in the district and their families to be tested.
Glen Rock residents are asked to bring identification and their insurance card (if applicable). Residents can pre-register to receive priority processing by clicking here. Residents are asked not to eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum for 30 minutes before taking the test.
